Border Security Tops Trump’s List of Achievements
President Donald Trump’s approval rating has reached 47%, marking one of the highest points in his political career, according to a new CNN poll. While 52% of Americans disapprove of his performance, a significant portion of the population sees his efforts as impactful.

When asked about Trump’s most significant accomplishment so far, 28% of respondents pointed to his strong stance on border security. This was followed by his efforts to streamline the government, a project in collaboration with Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency, which garnered 12% of support. These findings highlight the president’s ongoing push to solidify his policies on immigration and government reform.
Americans Call for Action on Rising Prices
Despite his approval ratings holding steady, many Americans are urging President Trump to focus more on tackling rising costs. The poll found that 62% of respondents feel he has not done enough to address inflation and high living expenses. Notably, this sentiment extends across party lines, with 47% of Republicans, 65% of independents, and 73% of Democrats expressing dissatisfaction with the administration’s economic measures so far.

Multiple Polls Show Trump’s Ratings Holding Steady
The CNN poll, conducted from February 13-17 with a margin of error of 3.1%, aligns with several other surveys reflecting a similar trend in public opinion. A Quinnipiac University poll placed Trump’s approval at 45% with 49% disapproval, slightly lower than a late January survey. Meanwhile, a Gallup poll showed Trump at 45% approval and 51% disapproval, while a Reuters/Ipsos poll recorded 44% approval and 51% disapproval.
Since returning to office, Trump has wasted no time implementing a wave of executive orders, fulfilling campaign promises, and reshaping the federal government. His assertive approach to governance continues to fuel both strong support and criticism as he forges ahead with his second term in the White House.
